Here is a list of 25 plugins needed for the platform WordPress.

# 2 - All in One SEO Pack
This plugin all-in-One is a true benchmark in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Here is a detailed description, to prove to what extent this plugin is one of the best, if not the best of its kind:
- Titles: allows rewriting of the titles of articles and posting them before anything else (for example, the title of your blog), which is much more relevant to a search engine. Indeed, the title of an article should contain keywords characteristics of your product and included the best results in Google and Yahoo, among others;
- Description: created automatically or manually tag description, the same that appears in search results below the title of the article or the site. It is therefore crucial and must, again, contain keywords representing the article in order to optimize its referral;
- Keywords (keywords): Allows adding tags the same way as the field provided for this purpose from WordPress 2.3. However, while it is preferable to an article tagguer moderately through the field of WordPress for not having a cloud of tags disproportionate (2-3 max, in my humble opinion), there are no limits as regards All in One SEO Pack. Be reasonable still!
- Duplicate content: the plugin manages very well the problems of duplicate content via function noindex. It is available separately for each applicable articles or pages for the archives, categories or tags. Nevertheless, I think the tags page is not a source of duplicate content and can generate additional traffic, quite the contrary;
As you can see, this plugin is a real pearl to have absolutely if referencing to any importance to your eyes.

Very nice this list, I discovered a few plugins that I did not know.
One question though: the plugin Gravatar is not already included in Wordpress 2.5?
I have heard that it ran WP 2.5 natively.
May 26, 2008, 10:56
@ Argancel: Yes WordPress 2.5 manages gravatars native but in my case the plug was still necessary, perhaps because I use the theme Mimbo.
May 26, 2008 at 12:30
@ Maigret: I have the answer: we must use the get_avatar () instead gravatar (). There is a tutorial at this address:

In place of Google analytics (which slows down the websites when the server train, too well), I recently discovered ZDStats, a plug of a frenchy, very comprehensive: http://www.zen-dreams.com / en / zdstats /

if I installed Extended Admin management "to manage Ajax ID, publication or otherwise, the date… a click from the entry list (without having to completely edit the article): http://www .schloebe.de / wordpress / admin-management-xtended-plugin /
Otherwise I tested the OpenID (WP-OpenID server personal PhpMyID +).
SlickR instead FlickRSS because widget included and more convenient.
all in one adsense and YPN to manage automatically AdSense.
Contact Form 7 for contact page.
FD Feedburner to… guess
General Stats to replace Wordpress.com Stats (with integrated widget and options for drag and drop the order of stats).
Image Manager to manage images in tickets, instead of one too basic.
MCEComments to have an editor with TinyMCE comment.
Redirection (urbangiraffe.com) to manage redirects kind 301.
TimesToCome Stop Bot Registration (a new) to prevent the registration of robots: http://herselfswebtools.com/2008/06/wordpress-plugin-to-prevent-bot-registrations.html
TinyMCEAdvanced: to manage the opsition buttons in writing ticket / page by drag and drop.
Ultimate Plugins Smart Update Pinger for mêmechose that maxpress with a system requiring them to register. Both plugins puent the commercial it looks but in the meantime…
WP-SnapAvatar: when one commentator has no gravatar but a website, put a screenshot of its site in place of gravatar
+ Sure that you use - some that you and that I find unnecessary.
June 6, 2008 at 3:25
A small question regarding TinyMCEAdvanced and MCEComments: have you managed to run without problems? If yes, what version of WordPress do you use?
Thank you in advance.
June 6, 2008 at 6:01

July 19, 2008 at 12:07
Thank you also for this list of plugins. Chunk URL is indeed indispensable, against, I do not see too much value to be notified by mail once a plugin has been updated since the page of the hotel Plugins WordPress (from 2.5) warns us … Finally, it's just a matter of taste!
July 19, 2008 at 1:12
The page plugins warns us… but it must be open
