In preparation for several weeks, here comes the new version of the blog: content later nothing changes, later styled hot!
As you can see, the appearance of the site has been revamped. Not that the old theme not liked me more, but several reasons have precipitated this change.
First, the old theme Mimbo which I plan to make available the changes, seemed too heavy a load. Suddenly, with this new theme, performance has increased significantly. The pages appear very quickly and even with an Internet connection capricious…
Another objective of this makeover was to optimize shipping thinking the visitors first. Exit therefore unnecessary features, plugins fanciful - the maximum that have been integrated directly into the code theme… for a more refined, cleaner and why not a little minimalist. Again, everything has been designed to allow visitors to offer the best possible ergonomics.
However, major features are still present and similar ones are introduced, namely:
- Vote on articles: I take the risk of m'exposer this type of notation but I think this is a good way of knowing whether or not an article like. It is anonymous and faster than the commentaries - one does not prevent any other course;
- Integration of gratavars: until then I used a plug for the show, which is no longer the case;
- Creating a logo and a banner: after several days of tatônnements, I finally find a logo that resembles me. The former seemed not, in my opinion, no personality;
- Separation of trackbacks comments: This was probably the most complicated thing to do because the theme of origin, which assigned a different style for comments and odd pairs;
- Integration of search engine Google already present in the old version of the blog, despite some minor mofications made;
- Creating a true archive page: Archives are now categorized and display all published articles. Similarly, the archives of categories - accessible by clicking on a category of their choice, have also been customized;
- Adding a second sidebar widgetisé: it lies footer just before the footer. It allows visitors auw complement their visits via a cloud of tags and a list of popular items. I hesitated for a long time to keep a tag cloud but I think it has advantages;
- Miniatures independent I mean that the miniatures displayed next to each item as the home page are now independent record theme, and this allows me flexibility;
Last precision with regard to the basic theme used to create this new look. This is the theme of the excellent MassivePress Jason Schuller.
So it is no longer much to do with the origin…
Other innovations have also emerged, you discover them! And if you notice a bug, or you would like to make a suggestion, please let me know via comments or directly by mail.
Enjoy!

Very nice your new theme! It is more design and much lower tech than before. It is also easier to find old articles. Before, I was going by google, now I'm looking live on the blog.
