At a system failure (the Blue Screen of Death, for example), Windows included in a file data in memory in order to be used in a possible debugging. Hardly very useful, this feature slows down the system then disable it!
We also enjoy a better set for the start of the system whose properties are available in one place.
Start by opening the Start menu, then right-click on Properties Computer.
A window opens, entitled System. In the left side, click Settings advanced system.
In the Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
In the first section, start the system, uncheck:
- Show operating systems for "x" seconds: useless if you have only one operating system installed on your PC. If this is not the case, let this value or decrease there;
- Show options for recovery: "x" second: unless you have a PC completely unstable, disable this feature where, if you are prudent, reduce to 15 the number of seconds;
In the second section, failure of the system, uncheck:
- Write an event in the newspaper system: completely unnecessary;
- Restart automatically during a crash the computer reboots so quickly that it is often impossible to read the error message, for example, in the case of a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death or Blue Screen of the Death), then turn off;
- Write debugging information in the list box, choose none;
As a precaution, you should create a System Restore.

Right-click on Properties Computer, accessible from the Start menu - the Post Working under XP. Open the System Properties tab and then, quite low, click Create…
You only have to specify a name for the point of restoration and confirm by clicking Create.
