Nero default installs a module entitled Nero Scout and just stays in the computer. But it is hardly a great utility. Quite the contrary, it manages the module indexing Nero which is recommended to be disabled, including Vista, as the system already has its own engine indexing.

Let the household without further delay!

Here are 2 methods to remove the module Nero Scout, all not working for everyone. I advise you to proceed in order, which are classified as simple to more complicated (extreme case).

1st method: options Nero Scout

The first way is the simplest but does not in any case will know why.

Open therefore the Computer then right-click on the icon Nero Scout. Select Options and uncheck Show Nero Scout in the explorer.

Confirm by clicking on OK.

2nd method: execute command

The second way will only work for Nero 7 and therefore under Windows XP since the latter theory is not Vista compatible (although it still operates more or less).

Open the Start menu and click Run. Here, copy and paste the following command:

regsvr32 / u "C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Ahead \ Lib \ MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

and confirm by clicking on OK.

In addition to this article, I advise you to take a look at Nero full Uninstall you learn to delete Nero when it does more than his head. : wink:

I have no alternative but for the moment I continue my research!
An ultimate solution would be to uninstall the software and then to resettle in not checking that strictly useful applications: Nero Burning ROM, Nero Express, Nero Vision, Nero Recode and that's all!

I do here is guaranteed nothing but maybe the solution (specific to Vista so if you're in XP I do not think it works):

Ouvres the Start menu and then tapes cmd.exe. Here, copy-paste the following valid then clicking OK:

    regsvr32 / u "C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Nero \ Lib \ MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

That is all I can do for the moment :-)
