With the arrival of Vista, it is now possible to play DVDs without using a third player such as PowerDVD. However, if you want to use a video codec different from that proposed in native Microsoft, Vista MediaCenter Decoder Utility is for you!

This utility requires no installation. Just launch the executable and then select the video and audio codec you want. To validate it, click Set Defaults can confirm in the affirmative the following messages.

This utility can be especially useful if you have Nero ShowTime or nVidia PureVideo Decoder.
